Membership

As a college or other 16+ provider, we supply you with a software application which gives access to our worksheets. Please click on the relevant links for information about our maths and English programmes.

Each student is registered onto our system and we provide materials for their individual use. This work is recorded in our system so you can track their progress.

We provide the expertise, planning, assessment and support - all you need to do is provide a staff member, to liaise with us, and space where the additional maths or English work can be completed - keep reading for more information, or click here for pricing.

Overview

The Study Central programme enables us to assess support requirements, in core maths or English skills, for individuals before providing appropriate sheets to address their needs.

  • An initial assessment provides a framework for the student's study plan.
  • Modules of work put together materials of an equivalent level of difficulty whilst providing variety for the student.
  • The intention is to provide support and practice on topics that will have been taught to students at some previous date but “crib sheets” are automatically provided to help learning on any occasion when a student is likely to have forgotten what they have learned previously.
  • Software tracks work completed and provides useful reports.

Practice worksheets

Following an initial assessment, we identify a module of work from which appropriate topics and levels are chosen for practice. This is done by a Study Central subject specialist, not a computer!

The system prints the selected questions and answers, along with a sheet to track results for each individual. Work is fine-tuned every week.

Over time, this produces a study record which can also be used as evidence of achievement in maths or English.

Staff Training

We provide an easy to use structure which means that the programme can be administered by almost any member of staff. They need not be a subject specialist and it would be better if it is a staff member who is not normally teaching the subject to the students.

As part of the initial fee, we provide training materials and online seminars on the operation of our programme. Training can also be provided on site.
